0) What kind of fuel does your boiler use?

1) What type of boiler do you currently have?

Your hot water is supplied directly from the boiler. You do not have any tanks in the airing cupboard or the loft.

Combi

Your hot water is stored in a cylinder (usually in the airing cupboard) and supplied by cold water storage tanks either above the cylinder or in the loft. Your central heating pump is usually in the airing cupboard close to the cylinder.

Standard

Your hot water is stored in cylinder and provides mains pressure hot water. You don’t have any cold water storage tanks in the loft. Your central heating pump is inside the boiler.

System

Your boiler is located behind the gas fire. Your hot water is stored in a cylinder (usually in the airing cupboard) and supplied by cold water storage tanks either above the cylinder or in the loft. Your central heating pump is usually in the airing cupboard close to the cylinder or under the lounge floor close to the back boiler.

A back boiler will need to be upgraded to combi or standard boiler
